Frost shattering
I have this from last year too, but so many glacial features here-pyramidal peaks, aretes all over
Mer de Glace from Montenvers
We couldnt go down into the glacier. There were the usual climbers and extreme skiers masquerading as dots on it, but also plenty of work on some of the huge erratics hanging over the tunnel entrance
Bosson snout 2007
If you look at my flickr photos from the last two years, you will see the huge difference in the glacier. An expert for a French tv crew we met at the viewing platform told us its retreating at 20m per year.
Looking down from the Bosson
Shows the depth of the ice in the past. Perfect truncated spurs. 25 years ago the glacier reached the main valley floor over 400 m below
Sixt waterfalls and hanging vs
Waterfalls appearing from nowhere out of the limestone and hanging valleys high on the main valley side

Which urban zone?
I am going to post some photos and videos taken from a bus. The route was from the city centre out towards Hamilton. Please stick down your thoughts on which urban zone and why. I am a little embarrassed that this is what I chose to do coming home:-s
